Album Review: Autolux - Pussy's Dead

"This is an album that will continue to give for the next half-decade."

More Autolux More Autolux

Autolux are meticulous. They have produced three albums in 12 years, each a clear, sonic shift in purpose and ambition.

Pussy's Dead takes their predilections in motorik abrasion and electronic abstraction and imbue it in the EDM arena that's risen up since 2010's Transit Transit. They employ Boots (Beyonce, Run The Jewels) and his fingerprints merge with the trio's fastidious propulsions to great effect — the shimmering effects-riddled Change Your Head, the dirty dub-stained Soft Scene, the askew space-out Selectallcopy. This is an album that will continue to give for the next half-decade.
