Album Review: Audego - Beneath The Static And The Low

This isn't always an easy album to listen to, but it's nearly always a thrilling one. Audego is the husband and wife team of Shehab Tariq (aka Paso Bionic from Curse Ov Dialect and TZU) and Carolyn Tariq (aka Big Fella) and together their musical opposites very much attract. Big Fella's vocals are all fairytale sweet and tender while Paso Bionic's beats are dark, choppy and often disconcerting. But it works... very well. Bionic has always had a tendency to produce beats that throw the listener off balance, but here Big Fella's vocals act as a way into her husband's musical creations.
