The slightly ominous feel to Canyon Moon is a delightfully alluring introduction to Andrew McMahon’s latest incarnation, his distinctive voice dipping in and out of falsetto while a steady beat permeates listeners’ chests.

His piano mastery is in full-force throughout, perfectly complementing his brand of delicately phrased pop that’s introspective with just the right amount of naivety. All in all, the album is a promising debut from the former Something Corporate/Jack’s Mannequin frontman, laden with back-to-back radio-ready tracks.
