Grisabel: All Of The Things

Its a colourful high energy show that attempts to say too much without saying much at all.

All of the things is really just one thing forcibly repeated over and over again until the odd chuckle spills out due to sheer awkwardness.

There's a place for awkward comedy, but without respite from the self-aware and ill-prepared aesthetic formula that it prescribes, it can tend to drag. The likeable Grisabel comedy duo aren't completely inept, but that seems to be the sole focus of the show. Two clown-esque twenty somethings trying to grasp life the universes and everything, all to no avail. Their comedic content only skims the surface, failing to present concepts that really challenge the audience. Instead your faced with the same clockwork routine of Isabelle's adorable yet idiotic world views being inevitably crushed by Rachel's semi-rational logic. The piece is interspersed with erratic dance sequences to 90's and current pop anthems as well as over performed rap songs that are merely just lists of all the things.
