Three tracks of uncompromising, energetic melodic hardcore

More Endless Heights More Endless Heights

2012 saw Sydney melodic hardcore quintet Endless Heights steadily build momentum following the release of their December 2011 EP 'Dream Strong'. Fast forward one year to December 2012 7" 'Lady Wisdom', and the band have toured the country multiple times (both as headliners, and national support to names such as Basement and The Swellers) as well as landing local support slots for the likes of Defeater and Refused. With 'Lady Wisdom', the band show no signs of slowing down, releasing three tracks of heavy, anthemic hardcore.

Opening title track "Lady Wisdom" gets straight to the point in what is a quite traditional melodic punk track. Memorable riffs and catchy vocal lines ensure the track will be a crowd favourite of live sets.

"Hurricane" is another quite catchy, heavy track which explores shared vocal duties and harmonies to great effect - something that carries through the other two songs and works great. End refrain of 'And I will bear more scars / as many as the stars' feels destined-for-singalongs.

Final track "Totem" demonstrates some of the band's best guitar work, period. Melancholic riffs and a strong rhythm section make it a fine way to close the 7".

Sydney's leading light in melodic hardcore go from strength to strength with 'Lady Wisdom', delivering a memorable (if brief) 7" that provides an extremely promising glimpse at what's in store for Endless Heights in 2013.
