This is...wow, The Faceless' Latest offering entitled Planetary Duality, is a lot to take in and i mean that in a good way. I've been following this bands work since Their debut entitled Akeldama in 2006, which was a corker of an album, Planetary Duality though, gives the indication that this band will be a huge name in metal for years to come

Prison Born is the opening track and it straight away captures your attention with it's intricut drum work and unique and impressive guitar work, it's a pretty short but sweet and ultra brutal song...which leads in to the very slick bass intro of The Ancient Covenant, the creepy alien voices toward the end of this track didn't appeal to me at first but after listening to the album in its entirety, they just add that little bit of extra unconventionalism that makes this band truly unique. The only possible problem with this cd is it can get repetetive at times, but The Faceless can be forgiven for that because you're too busy wondering how they wrote something so epic. My favourite track on this album is the final song which is entitled Planetary Duality II (A Prophecies Fruition) it's one of the longer songs on the album and really showcases a band who have come in to their own, other stand out tracks are XenoChrist and Legion of the Serpent.

This cd will not be a favourite for the kids who listen to metal purely for social status or that rad breakdown that kids like to get their ninja on for, because their really isn't an abundance of catchy breakdowns to be seen, just ultra tight musicianship and eery soundscapes, so if you're a fan of music that can take takes you from one place in your head to somewhere completely different, Planteray Duality will not dissapoint you, you will actually feel like you're being abducted by aliens who want nothing more then to implant their seed in to you so you can go on to colonize the earth with alien spawn.

Planetary Duality is going to be a big contender for metal album of the year
