If you take the best elements of the The Bronx, the hooks of the mighty Social Distortion and the rock backbone of Motorhead, you get The Bleeders.

The Bleeders are living proof that dreams do in fact happen. 5 guys from our neighbouring New Zealand who were given a rumoured figure of anywhere between $50,000 - $100,000 to record their debut full length with respected producer Sal Villanueva.

Did the big budget pay off? Quite simply yes! The Bleeders have followed on from their first EP (well, first EP for us Australians, a compilation of their previous material which totalled 8 tracks, brought to us by the kind folks at Casadeldisco Records) and delivered an album full of blistering punk infused rock n roll.

As Sweet As Sin opens up with The Kill (which is also the album’s lead single) a song which sets the pace and lets the listener know what they’re in for. 14 tracks of upbeat, energetic, sing a long music. The kinds of tunes that inspire a good time and a positive message, which makes for a welcome change to the “daddy wasn’t there” shit we usually hear. Every song on the CD could be a single, such is the band’s ability to pen a catchy tune.
