Founded in 2006, Kill Your Stereo has been at the forefront of metal, punk, hardcore and all heavy genres for the best part of two decades. Over that time the site has evolved from message boards and MySpace to be one of the country's most respected place for news, interviews, reviews and more. We cover the globe, but with a particular passion for lifting up Australian music and championing the local scene. Built on the shoulders of giants, the site has had over a hundred writers and contributors over the years, creating a scene and celebration of the music we love.
In 2023, Kill Your Stereo speaks to over 100,000 heavy music fans every month across our website, social media channels and playlists, creating a hub for heavy music. Whether it's Good Things, Knotfest or local gigs on a Saturday night, Kill Your Stereo is right there with you, giving you the inside tips and providing the soundtrack to your life.
