The NSW town of Wingham will ring out with the sounds of some legendary Australian artists at this year's Wingham Akoostik Music Festival, with organisers announcing its full line-up, led by celebrated country artist Kasey Chambers.

Joining Chambers on the 2017 bill are fellow lauded troubadour Russell Morris — something of a coup for the event organisers, who've been chasing him down to perform at the festival for a few years now — as well as Killing Heidi frontwoman Ella Hooper and veteran post-punk/new wave outfit Eurogliders, Sydney outfit The Kava Kings, dulcet duo Eagle & The Wolf, and international fly-ins The Turner Brown Band (US) and Twin Peaks (Canada), among several others.

The Wingham Akoostik Music Festival is held annually, and brings a burst of activity to the mid-coast for three special days on the third weekend of October.

Situated at the showgrounds — close to the town centre and railway station — Akoostik fest features on-site camping options as well as workshops, market stalls and children's activities to bolster the all-ages-friendly festival vibe.

This year's line-up features local artists from Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, Victoria and, of course, NSW, providing a broad cross-section of the best in country, blues, roots, folk and beyond from around the nation.

Earl-bird tickets have already sold out — such is the anticipation for this esteemed event — but another round has been freshly released via Oztix.

This year's edition of the Akoostik festival will be held in Wingham from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 October.

Check out the full line-up below and see the festival's website for more information.
