Sydney post-metal act We Lost the Sea have announced they'll be playing a tribute show in honour of former vocalist Chris Torpy, who took his own life back in March of last year.

"It has been an extremely difficult year for We Lost The Sea but we strive to move forward in part to remember the person that Chris was and to continue the hard work that he left behind. Not a day goes by that we all don't think about him. To pay tribute to Chris we could think of no better way then to get together a bunch of bands full of people that he loved and who loved him. It will be a night of remembering the person he was and what he was passionate about."

Along with We Lost the Sea, the lineup includes the likes of Totally Unicorn, Adrift for Days, At Dark, Snakes Get Bad Press and more.

The event will take place Saturday, April 26 at The Factory Floor in Marrickville. All proceeds from the show will be donated to beyondblue.
