"I don’t know his life and what’s going on, but I hope it gets better."
An attempted robber broke into We Came As Romans guitarist Josh Moore’s hotel room in Adelaide yesterday (30 August).
Upon Moore walking into the room, he saw a man outside, on the ground from the balcony – five floors above the ground. Miraculously, the man is alive and was transported to the hospital in an ambulance to treat injuries.
“We looked out the balcony and saw a guy on the ground, like, bloody and stuff, and so we ran down here,” Moore told 7 News Adelaide yesterday.
Moments before, the man had broken into Moore’s room, barricaded himself in it, locked the guitarist out, and stole a hat from his luggage.
“I just hope he’s alright,” bass player Andy Glass said to the 7 News crew. Moore added, “The judgement on that guy… I don’t know his life and what’s going on, but I hope it gets better.”

Luckily, Moore’s passport was found in the attempted robber’s pocket – he needed that to travel to Sydney for the band’s all-ages gig at Liberty Hall tonight.
“Adelaide offered We Came As Romans a wild re-introduction to Australia after its first show here in 8 years,” touring giants bringing the band to Australia, Destroy All Lines, shared on social media earlier today.
“East Coast cities, behave”.
We Came As Romans’ Darkbloom Australian tour began on Tuesday, 29 August, at Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory, with local metalcore outfit SIGNV/S taking the stage first.
The tour then travelled to Sydney's Liberty Hall on Thursday, 31 August, with support from Harroway. On Friday, 1 September, We Came As Romans play a sold-out show at Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom, opened by ATLVS, and ends the tour at Brisbane's Princess Theatre on Saturday, 2 September, with Headwreck opening the show. You can find last-minute tickets here.
Invent Animate, touring Australia for the first time, join We Came As Romans on all dates.
In October 2022, We Came As Romans dropped their sixth album, Darkbloom, in memory of singer Kyle Pavone, who sadly passed away in 2019.
