There was not a single dry eye in the house.

Over the 4th of July, Taylor Hawkins' Son, Shane Hawkins performed a cover of My Hero. Footage has now emerged of him performing, taking a seat behind the kit at a block party in Laguna Beach to perform the Foo Fighters hit single.

He performed the track alongside local band The Alive, who have a long history with the Hawkins Family. They opened for Hawkins' cover band Chevy Metal, as well as for Foo Fighters in Chile just a week before Hawkins passing. He grew up in Laguna beach, the same place in which the block party was thrown.
