Volbeat and Rob Caggiano have parted ways after ten years.
Volbeat have parted ways with their lead guitarist of the last ten years, Rob Caggiano. Before he joined the Danish rock band, Caggiano had played with Anthrax and the nu-metal outfit Boiler Room.
The Arcane Order’s Flemming C. Lund will fill in for their long-time lead guitarist. Announcing Caggiano’s departure via Instagram, Volbeat wrote:
"After ten incredible years we must sadly announce that Volbeat and Rob Caggiano have parted ways. During our time together we've traveled [sic] the world sharing great experiences and released four albums that we are immensely proud of, and we wouldn't change a moment of it.
"We wish our brother Rob all the best with everything he does in the future (we know it's going to be great)! Filling those shoes on stage will be a herculean task, but our good friend Flemming C. Lund (The Arcane Order) will be jumping in to handle lead guitar on our 2023 shows.
"Thank you to all of our incredible fans for their support, and more importantly, thank you to Rob for ten amazing years."

In his time with Volbeat, Caggiano was part of four albums: 2013’s Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, 2016’s Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie, 2019’s Rewind, Replay, Rebound, and most recently, Servant Of The Mind, released in 2021.
It’s been a long time since Volbeat visited Australia, with the Danish rockers last playing shows down under as part of Soundwave Festival in 2014 – they also played two sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne. However, they had to pull out of the Adelaide leg due to a “family emergency” and hosted headline sideshows after Megadeth pulled out of their Australian appearances.
Volbeat have a live show that brings together their disparate influences into one very entertaining set of music. They love Johnny Cash as much as they love Pantera, and it shows in their unique brand of heavy rock music.
For their side shows, they were accompanied by industrial mainstays Filter and British five-piece Hacktivist.
