Vampire Weekend will push for their highest-ever debut in this week's ARIA Albums chart.

According to midweek figures, the New York outfit are looking at a top five debut, battling Pink, Billie Eilish and locals King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard who contested in the top five last week for top spot.

2010's Contra remains the band's highest Aussie debut, coming in at number two on the Albums chart on its release. They will look to do one better with Father Of The Bride, an album The Music gave four and a half stars out of five saying, "It is an artistic touchstone."  Read the full review here.

Swedish death metal band Amon Amarth and triple j favourite Ruby Fields are also expected to push for a top 15 finish with their respective records Beserker and Permanent Hermit while Bad Religion will look to land in the top 30 with Age Of Unreason.

Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys and Billie Eilish's Don't Smile At Me are also both expected to climb back into the top ten as the pair continue their respective tours Down Under.
