More Suicide Silence More Suicide Silence

US deathcore outfit Suicide Silence have been slammed online after launching a campaign asking for fans to pay to be their roadie for a day.

The US$150 package offers fans the chance to "work along side the crew", stand side of stage for the band's set, receive roadie merch including a t-shirt and laminated card, lunch with the crew and the chance to mingle with the band members during sound check.

The initiative has been met with a wave of criticism, with many accusing Suicide Silence of taking advantage of their fans.

Las Vegas-based dance artist Lundon skewered the campaign, tweeting, "Get in the way of all the crew, annoy the venue staff as they're not insured to have member of the public hanging around during setup, eat the actual crew's catering (who at this point are barely tolerating you), and get a shitty Gilden T-Shirt".

The campaign comes just a week after frontman Eddie Hermida apologised to a woman accusing him of "emotionally and sexually manipulating" her in a statement given to Metal Injection.
