"We’d been wanting to do something that would be reflective of the live show for sometime."

More upsidedownhead More upsidedownhead

Upsidedownhead is back with a brand new video today, premiering exclusively with The Music.

Dubbed higher, the track sees the Sydney artist - aka Ross James - collaborate once again with songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and regular Flight Facilities collaborator Ric Rufio. The pair originally teamed up for upsidedownhead's debut single Get Low back in 2018.

"Higher is an ode to that little smile when the good guy wins," said James of the track.

"It’s an ode to that feeling that you could take on the world when you walk out of the movies riding that high. It’s an anthem that was written with the purpose to create euphoria in all that listen to it…"

"We’d been wanting to do something that would be reflective of the live show for sometime," he told The Music

"In my eyes higher has some anthemic qualities and we wanted to visually create something immersive that captures the true essence of a great VJ-DJ collaboration.

"The incredible director Jamin Tasker has an amazing eye for shapes and colours and how they mould with the music. He and I worked closely on building a visual world that when paired with a high end projector and a blank canvas would create further depth to the sonics presented in higher. Visuals by Catmac."
