Unwritten Law Announce Biggest-ever Australian Tour

American punk band Unwritten Law will return to Australia in February 2023, putting on 17 shows around the country.

Touring their latest album, this year's The Hum, the group are known for their singles Seein' Red and Save Me (Wake Up Call), both of which were hits on the US Modern Rock chart.

"Hey, Australia! Since this is the longest break we’ve had from our favourite place to tour and we’ve got a brand new record to share with you, we’re beyond excited to present to you: The Hum Tour," lead guitarist Chris Lewis said.

He added, "Not only will we be giving you different set lists every night, we’ll be unveiling songs off our newest album, The Hum, some for the first time ever! We’re playing quite a few shows, so we’re gonna make sure there are unique surprises every night. We can’t wait to see you all out there."

The Hum is the band's first album in over a decade and was accompanied by a short film for Magnetic and the title track.

Long-time vocalist Scott Russo commented about the record: "It almost feels like a new band.

"We were supposed to hand the record in the month the pandemic hit, and it just wasn’t there. The label was like, we don’t want to put it out until you can tour, so we took an extra year to make sure we had it, and we did."

The current band lineup has been together for 14 years; Scott Russo on vocals and guitar, Wade Youman on drums, Jonny Grill on bass, and Chris Lewis and Scott McLaughlin on guitar and vocals. Tickets are on sale now.
