Boutique conference will focus on 'releasing music'

Boutique music industry conference UnConvention Brisbane has announced its first panels and details for the 2012 event, with organisers indicating that the event will focus on releasing music.

UnConvention - which this year utilised crowd funding to raise money - aims to foster a like-minded community within the conference, and will look at production, marketing and media interaction of a release. Taking place at The Edge over two days – Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November – there will be five panels and workshops. While the workshops will be announced gradually in the lead-up to the event, the five panels have been announced today. Full speaker line-ups to follow.

The Eyes Are The Whores Of The Senses with John Kenny will look at the importance of design and visual stimulants for music.

Getting That Song Across The Line with Ben Preece and Stephen Green will look at how to move from the rehearsal room to furthering a band's carrer.
