And both the Go-Betweens and Velociraptor are represented

UnConvention Brisbane organisers have just dropped the names of four of the conference speakers' who will present at this year's event. All four individuals who come from alternate areas of the music industry and are sure to stir some interest for the Brisbane community-focused event.

The four speakers are John Willstead (of The Go-Betweens), Jesse Barbera (manager of Velociraptor, Jeremy Neale, etc.), Clinton Walker (a writer for Melbourne's Sun Herald, well-known chronicler of grass-roots culture) and Kiley Gaffney (Artist and QUT Lecturer in Music and Sound).

Last week, we brought word of the conference announcing it's first panels, dealing with topics such as visual stimulants to music, moving forward from the rehearsal room, music tradition impacting on song writing, the hardships of starting in the industry and conducted experiments in recording over the period of the weekend.

This second announcement is only one from an assortment of further additions to come to the fore in the near future, building on an exciting weekend planned from the 25-25 November at The Edge, from 12pm till 7pm each day.
