Um, Did Brand New Just Confirm That Break-Up Is Happening Sooner Than We Think?

Brand New fans went into panic mode late last year when frontman Jesse Lacey hinted that the emo veterans will be calling it quits soon and if the first show of their current US tour is anything to go by, it's closer than we first thought. 

As NME reports, before kicking off their classic hit Sowing Season during a show in Salt Lake City this week, the 37-year-old singer told the crowd, "We're done".

Met with a chorus of boos, Lacey continued, "Oh yeah, we’re done, and it makes nights like this all the more special so thanks for being here."

Brand New are scheduled to perform throughout the US until September and currently there are no further dates.

Let's hope for everyone's sake that some Aussie tour dates are on the way or, you know, maybe Lacey was just thinking about loud. Or something. Please don't leave us yet, Brand New.
