Ultravox Frontman Midge Ure To Tour Australia

Yes, we know it's Christmas.

We know more than anyone just how much you guys love your Ultravox. Oh boy, don't we know. So you ought to be mighty happy to hear the news that the frontman of that much celebrated classic pop act Midge Ure has announced that he will be making his way down to Australia for a series of shows in April of 2013.

Of course, Ure wasn't just the voice of Ultravox, he co-wrote and produced Do They Know It's Christmas?, he helped Bob Geldof organise Band Aid, Live Aid and Live 8, was a member of Thin Lizzy for a short time and has a hand in so many great songs over the years, including plenty from his large collection of solo records.

Most capital cities are getting the opportunity to see this musical master in the flesh when he finally makes his way back here (he was supposed to be on that Rewind 80s Festival, but the less said about that, the better), the dates that he plays are as follows and tickets are on sale now.

Thursday 18 April – Kedron Wavell Services Club, Brisbane
Friday 19 April – Billboard, Melbourne
Saturday 20 April – The Factory, Sydney
Wednesday 24 April – Shoppingtown Hotel, Melbourne
Friday 26 April – The Gov, Adelaide
Saturday 27 April – The Charles Hotel, Perth
