More Twenty One Pilots More Twenty One Pilots

US duo Twenty One Pilots are gunning for their first-ever Australian #1 album this week with Trench but they'll have to beat the pairing of Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga to do so.

According to midweek figures, the Pilots' fifth LP is predicted to debut inside the top three of the ARIA Albums chart, alongside the soundtrack for the new film, A Star Is Born.

Early reviews have praised Cooper and Gaga's performances in the film, while they also collaborated on the soundtrack with number of musicians, including Lukas Nelson.

The last Hollywood soundtrack to stamp its mark on the ARIA Albums chart was last year's Boxing Day-released The Greatest Showman, which currently holds the record for the longest streak at #1 on the list in 2018 (eight weeks straight).

Other album debuts this week include Last Dinosaurs' Yumeno Garden (top 20), Behemoth's I Loved You At Your Darkest (top 30), Eric Church's Desperate Man, You Me A Six's VI (both top 40) and Cat Power's Wanderer (top 50).

Over on the Singles chart, George Ezra will be looking to make it four straight weeks atop the list with Shotgun, but the top end should get a bit of a shuffle.

Halsey's Without Me is expected to debut in the top 15, while Dynoro's In My Mind and Loud Luxury's Body are predicted to climb into the top ten.

Expect to also see debuting tracks like Shallow from the A Star Is Born soundtrack (top 25), Rita Ora's Let You Love Me (top 30), Morgan Evans' Day Drunk and Lukas Graham's Love Someone (both top 50).
