Aus indie psych quartet Tropical Fuck Storm are heading to the big screen next month, for a one-night-only cinematic event.

The band have announced their newest project Goody Goody Gumdrops today - an absurdist take on the documentary format that chronicles the band and their latest album, Deep States.

Set to the backdrop of their picturesque recording studio on Victoria's Goulburn River, the film will follow the band as they celebrate new tunes with a massive performance filmed for their audience's viewing pleasure.

A statement from the band describes the project as "a weekend with TFS that begins in their studio come cocktail lounge. A Rat Pack flavoured performance accompanied with a class of their signature drop, Tropical Fuck Fizz."

The statement continues, "followed by an acoustic performance at dusk on the banks of The Goulburn River, climaxing in a wild, unhinged rock show in the barn!

"Too many dogs, a bogan tarot reader, post-apocalyptic buses, laughter, tears, plenty of wisdom and beers! Goody Goody Gumdrops (A Tropical Fuck Storm Film) is 82 mins of your life you will never get back!"
