Punk-rock dreamboats Tropical Fuck Storm have unveiled their cult feature film debut, Goody Goody Gumdrops, on VHS, with a limited 199 copies available for purchase.

Filmed across three locations at Gareth Liddiard's and Fiona Kitschin's ranch in the Victorian countryside, Goody Goody Gumdrops is part live performance, part documentary, part absurdist comedy, described by Gaz as their version of "Magical Mystery Tour."

The film debut follows TFS around for a weekend that begins in their studio come cocktail lounge. A Rat Pack-flavoured performance accompanied by a glass of their signature drop, Tropical Fuck Fizz.

Followed by an acoustic performance at dusk on the banks of The Goulburn River, climaxing in a wild, unhinged rock show in the barn.

Too many dogs, a bogan tarot reader, post-apocalyptic buses, laughter, tears, plenty of wisdom and beers! Goody Goody Gumdrops (A Tropical Fuck Storm Film), made alongside friend and filmmaker Nina Renee, is 82 mins of pure fun that represents the band on every level.

If you don't have a VCR, the band suggest you check "your local Vinnies, eBay, or your hock shop."

For millennials or Gen Z-ers who have no clue what the word VHS even means, Goody Goody Gumdrops will be available to stream from Saturday, June 24th, on Nightflight Plus, alongside a heap of other cult classics, with the soundtrack now streaming on Spotify.

Early this year, Tropical Fuck Storm shared the sad news that founding bassist and vocalist Fiona Kitschin was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.

Taking to social media, the band announced that they would be pulling out of all planned touring outside of Australia in 2023.

Tropical Fuck Storm was created by Kitschin and her partner Gareth Liddiard, who both previously played in the Drones. They recruited Lauren Hammel from High Tension and Erica Dunn from Mod Con, Harmony and more.

They released their first album, A Laughing Death in Meatspace, in 2018 to great acclaim before embarking on 2019's Braindrops and 2021's Deep States. In 2023, they released a cover album titled, Submersive Behaviour! which features their own unique take on certain classics from legends like Jimi Hendrix, Middle Aged in the Middle East in the Middle Ages, Men Men Menstruation, Compliments to the Chef, and The Stooges
