Performer extraordinaire Tim Minchin has announced he will be bringing his live show to Melbourne's The Palace Foreshore on the 26th of November. Along with his eight-piece band, Minchin will give Melbourne punters the night of their life with a performance that will feature material from all corners of his eclectic repertoire. 

On the new show Minchin details that, "It’s a festival set that we’ve been performing, loads of songs, me running around on stage being a goose and you having a good time."

An avid writer and performer, Minchin has achieved more in his lifetime than most people dream about. He is the composer/lyricist of two hit West End/Broadway musicals, Matilda and Groundhog Day, both of which won the Olivier Award for Best West End Musical and garnered nominations for Best Score and Best Musical in Broadway’s Tony Awards. 

He's released five DVDs (the most recent recorded with the Heritage Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall), written two books, and toured extensively with bands and orchestras across the US, UK and Australia for over a decade. His most recent tour, Back, was seen by over a quarter of a million people.

The newly announced Melbourne show comes ahead of the release of Minchin's next single The Aeroplane written for Upright Series 2. Upright 2 will be released by Foxtel/Sky Atlantic later in 2022 and the song will be available through BMG Records.
