Tim Hart trades in his drum sticks for a guitar on his first national solo tour.

More Tim Hart More Tim Hart

Boy & Bear fans are in for a treat, as the cold of winter  will be warmed by the voice of Tim Hart when he hits the road  this August.

The drummer will tour nationally in support of his debut solo album Milling The Wind. The 14-stop tour will visit major cities and regional centres. But don't fret, this doesn't spell the end for Boy & Bear; "This was always in the pipeline" Tim said in a statement today. "This was the right time and there was a real openness to it within the band. The boys are excited."

His new record Milling The Wind will see Tim wearing his heart on his sleeve, as he ponders the themes of childhood, religion, family, love and heartbreak, which will be translated to the live setting with integrity and intimacy.

The first single from the album is A Number Of Us.
