Kiwi musician, sound engineer and producer Tiki Taane has announced his most expansive Australian run to date, a massive 14-date tour that puts his newest single, No Place Like Home, front and centre.

The single has been a celebration of his homeland and its people — "because that's where the true spirit and power of this country lies" — and was released this February in response to the anti-Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement protests that occurred, with Taane sending off all proceeds from the single to charity Good Neighbour.

Best known for his work with reggae fusion act Salmonella Dub, Taane is now out as a solo musician. "Expect this solo tour to be live and on the spot creation and experimentation of all music using an acoustic guitar, vocals, samples and loops. Every show is different and challenging as a performance, which is why I really love doing the solo thing," Taane says.

Starting off at Sydney's Oxford Art Factory on 14 October, Taane will head to Hobart, Melbourne, Fremantle, Perth, Margaret River, Scarborough, Maroochydore, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville and finally the Airlie Beach Music Festival on 5 November.
