"We are behind the times with the public’s perception of what country music is."

Country rockers The Wolfe Brothers are celebrating the release of their new album, This Crazy Life, with a whopper of a country music bill this October.

The trio have enlisted the who's who of country today for the eight-date tour, including Canadian Gord Bamford, Caitlyn Shadbolt, Troy Kemp, Christie Lamb, Craig Heath and Jody Direen, all of whom will be taking the stage for one night only in each city.

Promoter Stephen White says, "We are behind the times with the public’s perception of what country music is. In America country music is a force to be reckoned with and every city, large and small, has at least one country music radio station. In fact there are more country radio stations than pop or rock stations in the USA.

"Country music has such a broad appeal across America that it is common for country artists to fill football and baseball stadiums regularly in huge urban centres like New York, Boston, and Chicago. Country music is massive business in America due to its broad appeal in all demographics."

The tour will kick off in Hobart on 7 October, before the seven acts head to Launceston, Traralgon, Melbourne, Penrith, Newcastle, Tweed Heads and Toowoomba.
