Australian indie rockers The Vanns are heading on their largest-ever headline tour across the country this November, hitting mid-sized to large-scale theatres in support of their #8 ARIA charting album, Last Of Your Kind.

The Last Of Your Kind tour begins on Friday, 3 November, at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre, followed by Adelaide’s The Gov, the Freo Social in Fremantle, Sydney’s Roundhouse and rounding off the run at The Tivoli in Brisbane. You can find all the dates below.

Joining them on the ride are Brisbane-based band, Shag Rock, who recently hit Platinum status with their 2016 single, Sunbleached Girl.

Building on the resounding success of their second album, Last Of Your Kind, which saw the band sell out an intimate tour to celebrate its launch, The Vanns’ headline tour presents an opportunity for fans and indie rock music lovers to experience the band's fresh new songs performed on bigger stages nationwide.

The pre-sale began at 10:30 am AEST today, with the General Sale kicking off on Wednesday at noon AEST. You can purchase your tickets here.

Earlier this year, The Vanns revealed the 12 songs that inspired the creation of Last Of Your Kind. Spanning influences as diverse as post-punk from Ireland (Fontaines D.C.) to anthemic, Bruce Springsteen-inspired indie rock (The War On Drugs) to groovy R&B (Jamiroquai), the album is as eclectic as the band’s inspirations. You can check out their picks here.

The Music said this about the title track in May: “Akin to Gang Of Youths and Arcade Fire, this song is built for a festival and invoking that feeling of something more.”

Singer and guitarist Jimmy Vann said that the track is about “living the most fruitful and spontaneous life you possibly can; in saying that, there is also no hiding the fact that we can all hit rock bottom, but you will always make it out the other side.”

The headline tour follows the band’s Wanderer Festival date, and this month, Adelaide fans can catch them at Spin-Off Festival along with the likes of Peach PRC, Hilltop Hoods, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers and many more.
