More The Hard Aches More The Hard Aches

Beloved Aussie outfit The Hard Aches have been welcomed aboard the impending tour for US indie darlings The Front Bottoms as national supports.

The in-demand locals will branch out from their home town of Adelaide to open each show on The Front Bottoms' upcoming jaunt, which gets under way in Perth on Friday 20 January, swinging them back through the SA capital before they head on to perform in Melbourne, Hobart, Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane.

The Hard Aches join the tour on the back of their most successful year to date, having risen to the elite ranks of those artists earning serious triple j airplay; they're now the station's 12th-most-played act. Part of that can doubtlessly be attributed to the infectious, inescapable Glad That You're Gone, which was a routine fixture on playlists in the wake of its release back in May, but it's also because the band have continued to prove themselves to be one of the country's most enjoyable live acts, having melted faces and hearts alike at a wealth of headline and event shows this year, including the recent I Love Life touring festival.

They recently released one of the year's best local offerings in new EP I Freak Out, which we were fortunate enough to premiere back in September, and they're looking to kick off 2017 as strongly as possible with this run of live shows. Simply put, The Hard Aches are one of the most exciting Australian acts currently doing the rounds, and you'd be remiss to not take any opportunity you have to spend some time with them at a show sometime. After all, you're about to have a bunch of opportunities to do just that.
