Tell Wax Philosophical About Reality & Perception In New Track & Video 'Red'

The Melbourne duo are finishing 2016 strong

Melburnian rappers Grey Ghost and Mantra — aka Tell — are back in the limelight following last month's statement of intent and debut single Life (Is A Mother Fucker), re-emerging with psychedelically tinged second single Red.

The pair's follow-up effort bears the same hallmarks of intensity and ambition that were so evident on their initial outing. Red solidifies the casual-cool but bodysuit-tight rapport between Grey Ghost and Mantra, the pair exchanging rhymes together cohesively and effectively without sacrificing the distinct elements that each bring to the partnership.

The track itself delves deeper into philosophical territory, ruminating on reality and perception and delving into themes of — fittingly — contrast and dichotomy.

"We got a bit out-there on this one, exploring the concepts of perception and reality, and the different ways people see things," the duo said in a statement. "So hold on to your hats, swallow your red pills and follow us down the rabbit hole. Things are about to get weird."
