The Sydney Comedy Festival is fast approaching and to get comedy fans hyped, it has gone and dropped a mammoth official program.

Harbouring over 210 international and local shows from the likes of David O'Doherty, Kitty Flanagan, Cal Wilson and a stack more, the 2018 festival is the biggest iteration yet.

"Following the 2017 fest, we set a brief that was simply to make it bigger, funnier and unmissable, and that is exactly what I believe this year’s Festival delivers," Sydney Comedy Festival Director Jorge Menidis said.

Fans of US comedy won’t be disappointed with cult favourites Kyle Kinane, Rory Scovel and Ari Shaffir heading Down Under, as well as SNL star Michael Che.

Those looking for a laugh and to support a good cause at the same time can head along to Frocking Hilarious, an all-female gala presented by ActionAid Australia with all proceeds going towards the support of women’s rights across the globe.

All the action will kick off at the huge Sydney Comedy Festival gala at the Opera House on 23 April, with shows playing in venues throughout the city until 20 May.
