More The Superjesus More The Superjesus

Sarah McLeod of The Superjesus has shared a new clip on social media, revealing the news that the band is in the studio recording their first full-length in 20 years.

The vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the iconic Aussie rock band cleans and sets up her Marshall stack amplifier and plugs in a Fender Stratocaster to the group's 2016 track, Come Back To Me

"We are getting ready to start recording the new Superjesus record... this old gal [the Marshall amp] hasn't been played in a very long time," McLeod writes. "She was dusty, but we quickly got reacquainted." She continued, "Next week, however, this piece of ass is gonna get all the love it deserves in the studio cranking hard on all the cool new Superjesus tracks… and we both are very excited! It'll be our first full-length record in 20 years."

The currently untitled Superjesus fourth album follows the band's 2016 Love And Violence EP and will be their first record since Rock Music was released in May 2003.

The Superjesus are touring Australia in January 2023, the band announced in September, bringing special guest Dallas Crane along for support.

The Money Tour will kick off in late January at The Lansdowne in Sydney for two nights before heading to The Triffid in Brisbane. The band will make a quick stop at Maroochydore on the Sunny coast before trailing down the East coast, hitting the Gold Coast and Adelaide, before finishing up in Richmond, Victoria.

Fresh off a support tour for rock sensations KISS, there's no doubt that The Superjesus are in their prime and will continue to deliver the best of what Australian rock has to offer.

With three ARIA Awards wins from eight nominations, two Top 10 albums, nine Top 50 hits and an induction into the South Australian Music Hall Of Fame under their belt, it's almost guaranteed that this tour will be a mind-blowing rock fest. The band are said to be touring both old hits and their most recent single, 2019's The Impossible, which showcased them in a different light.
