Sunk Loto Announce 'Between Birth & Death' 20th Anniversary Tour

After teasing something exciting to come for this week, Sunk Loto have announced a Between Birth And Death 20th-anniversary Australian tour. The band will be performing the iconic album in full across the country this October and November.

Beginning at the Freo Social in Fremantle on Friday, 20 October, the Australian metalcore favourites head to The Tivoli in Brisbane on Saturday, 4 November, the Metro Theatre in Sydney on Friday, 10 November, and ending at Melbourne’s Max Watt’s on Friday, 17 November, the band will summon anything but 5 Years Of Silence in four cities.

“We have some exciting news dropping for you all next week,” the band teased last week, and indeed it is exciting.

Between Birth & Death is the Gold Coast band’s second and final album. 

Released in November 2003, the record is perfect for fans of Deftones’ Around The Fur and acts as a precursor to Bullet For My Valentine’s debut album, The Poison.

The album landed at #48 on the ARIA Chart in 2003, with Paul McKercher nominated for an Engineer Of The Year award at the ARIAs in 2004. 

Last year, Sunk Loto reunited after a 15-year hiatus. Selling out multiple Queensland shows within 24 hours of announcing their return, Sunk Loto swiftly went on to sell out additional 2022 shows, with a second Brisbane date and previously announced shows in Melbourne and Sydney rapidly reaching capacity.

The OG band members, Jason Brown, Dane Brown, Luke McDonald and Sean Van Gennip, performed at all the shows and reconnected with their fans, entertained, had fun and reignited their love of playing music.
