Mark Abrahamian was just 46-years-old.

Mark Abrahamian, Austin, Texas-based lead guitarist of US rockers Starship, dropped dead suddenly following a show in Norfolk, Nebraska on Sunday night. Forty-six-year-old Abrahamian, who joined the band in the year 2000, informed his bandmates he wasn't feeling well immediately following the show, and soon collapsed while speaking with his fiancé on the phone.

The band, who came about following legal issues surrounding the split of the very popular Jefferson Starship, focus on playing the hits of the 1980s that the aforementioned group became famous for, including We Built This City and Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now. Starship were opening for fellow classic rockers Survivor and Boston at the show where Abrahamian passed away.

The cause of death has not yet been revealed, though an autopsy was performed on Monday. The band's road manager Scott Harrison said that Abrahamian had been complaining of chest pains for a number of days prior to his passing.
