Spanish Pub Punks Los Chicos Announce 2016 Aussie Shows

The venerated genre-smashers return for a bunch of shows this March

Los Chicos are no strangers to Australian shores, and the irreverent Spaniards are looking to maintain the relationship in 2016 with a run of shows Down Under this March.

Kicking off at Marrickville Bowls Club, Sydney, on Friday 18 March, the genre-hopping pub-rock/punk/country/gospel/soul luminaries will take their eclectic roadshow to stages in Collingwood (The Tote, 19 March), Belgrave (Sooki Lounge, Saturday 19 March), Rye (Baha, Thursday 24 March), Ballarat (Eastern Hotel, Friday 25 March), Talarook (Boogie! Festival, 26 March) and Geelong (Hola! @ Barwon Club, Sunday 27 March).

The stalwart group return to Australia for their fourth visit (they were last here only last year) without a fresh album — their most recent release was 2013's In The Age Of Stupidity — but that doesn't mean fans should expect anything close to a stale live show; Los Chicos are renowned for their high-energy, party-hearty performances, and there's no reason to believe that fact has changed in the time since their last visit.

Besides, if nothing else, at least the die-hards will know pretty much all the words, and there's nothing like a boisterous gang chorus to really bring such shindigs to life.
