Christian hardcore acts call it quits after ten years

More The Chariot More The Chariot

American mathcore band The Chariot have announced that they're splitting up, the Christian outfit having last been in Australia for Soundwave earlier this year.

The band, who formed in 2003 after vocalist Josh Scogin left Norma Jean, will embark on a farewell tour in the US from mid-October. The band release five studio albums, including last year's One Wing, with Scogin the only continuous member throughout the band's career.

In a farewell video the band wrote, “Thank you. To everyone on this planet Earth that has ever supported us, helped us, watched us, hung out with us, given us a place to stay, given food, prayed over us, loaned us equipment, advised us, booked us, or given us a chance, no matter how big or small… we are forever grateful.”
