Australian songwriter Sloan Peterson has today revealed brand new single, Moon & Back, and the accompanying music video.

To celebrate the release, the Sydney-based artist will embark on an east coast tour of Australia starting in April, with shows confirmed in Wollongong, Sydney, Newcastle, Ballarat, Kyneton, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

Check out the video for Moon & Back below.

“The morning of writing this song I had been on the phone to my mum, hung up the phone saying (as I always do) ‘Love you to the moon & back’ before heading into the room. I had a session and I wrote down the line ‘I love you to the moon and back’ and the rest of the lyrics just came so easily," Peterson said.

"I had a vision of it being a 2000s RNB track like Gwen Stefani’s Luxurious."

Peterson continued, "I'm a lover, but with love comes compromises and sacrifices at times. Opening lines ‘Shooting for the stars, can you handle that?’ could be I’m always going to work hard, shoot for the stars and dream big, can you follow me, or can you not handle that?

"I think the song is very self-explanatory. 'Could you love me to the moon and back', could be meaning how far are you willing to go for love?”
