More Slipknot More Slipknot

Slipknot have returned with a surprise new single, Bone Church, a standalone single with a music video directed by Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan. Far away from riff-heavy tracks, this Slipknot number is closer to alt-rock in the vein of Alice In Chains' storytelling.

Clown commented about the track, On the road, we have a 'jam room' set up backstage at every show, where we play, practice, warm up and sometimes try out new ideas. Bone Church started life in a jam room on the .5: The Gray Chapter tour. We’ve been bringing it closer and closer to life ever since, and finally, here it is. This one is for the fans - a further vision deeper into Slipknot’s history, which is still being written. Enjoy."

With its horror, polka and alt-rock influences, Bone Church isn't as crushing as a song with that title should be, but it's no less unique.

Bone Church follows Slipknot's latest album, The End, So Far, released in September last year. The record landed at #1 on the ARIA Album Charts, marking their fourth consecutive #1 album in Australia. The album also made a stunning impact worldwide with #1 debuts in the UK, USA, Germany, Switzerland, and Mexico, as well as Top 3 debuts in Canada, New Zealand, Finland, Sweden, Japan, and Belgium.

The arrival of The End, So Far was preempted by three singles, The Chapeltown Rag, The Dying Song (Time To Sing) and Yen with the latter two accompanied by eerie video clips directed by Clown.

The End, So Far sees one of the world’s most popular and deeply enigmatic bands relentlessly charting new ground as they continue to redefine, revitalize, and reimagine the scope of rock music.
