More Sleep Token More Sleep Token

The enormously popular British alternative metal band Sleep Token will go on a headline run across Australia in April and May 2023.

Starting the tour at The Triffid in Brisbane, the anonymous collective then heads to Sydney's Metro Theatre, 170 Russell in Melbourne, The Gov in Adelaide, and wraps things up at Perth's Magnet House. While support acts haven't been announced yet, this is already a tour you won't want to miss.

Fronted by the masked yet charismatic Vessel, Sleep Token have previously wowed audiences when touring alongside the likes of Architects, Nothing More, Polyphia and countless others. 2022 also previously offered Australian fans a chance to catch the group alongside Northlane and Plini for some heart-stopping shows.

The band currently have two albums under their sleeves -  2019's Sundowning and 2021's This Place Will Become Your Tomb, the latter of which saw the band stretch their fluid genre boundaries with visceral melodics, thunderous drums, hooks and impenetrable darkness in tow.

The Early Bird pre-sale for the tour begins next week, on Monday, 28 November, at noon local time. Sign up here to gain access.

If the pre-sale allocation is exhausted quickly, don't stress: General tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, 30 November, at 10 am local time. Tickets can be found via Destroy All Lines.

When Sleep Token accompanied Northlane on tour earlier this year, we remarked that a substantial amount of the crowd was there to catch the Alkaline band.

Here's what we thought about their set: "Sleep Token were absolutely majestic, epic, arcane, euphoric, and a sight and sound to behold. I heard exclamations of 'How is his voice BETTER live?' around me and people proclaiming their undying love for Vessel. As with every other review from every other show, the only criticism that would have to be said here is that their set was too short - and that is no criticism of the promoter or line-up this evening; that is how the cookie crumbled, and we were grateful for what we got with Sleep Token.

"It was, without doubt, an almost religious experience, with the entire crowd singing along and moving in unison, as the djenty tones, soft lullabies and harsh, angry screams all worked in concert to create what was a visual and aural feast that everyone lapped up and hoped for more as soon as possible. The six-song set list from Sleep Token was heavy on new album tracks, opening with Alkaline and smashing through Hypnosis, Like That and The Love You Want, with only Higher and The Offering appearing off Sundowning at the end of the set."
