It's far from the worst celebrity rap we've ever heard...
Shaquille O’Neal has dropped a new freestyle rap number, Thotties Hit The Floor, with a sample of a nu-metal classic, Drowning Pool’s Bodies. Yep, you know the one.
The NBA legend and SPEED fan wrote on TikTok, “Lil Freestyle for y’all. Never would i have thought DJing would get me here!!
“But when it’s your time, it’s YOUR TIME. Im beyond grateful. Thotties Hit The Floor (MONSTER MASHUP) ft. Me, Lex Bratcher, Scar Lip”.
Shaq’s freestyle rap is far from the worst celebrity rap we’ve heard, and the sample of Bodies actually works. Check it out below.

Last year, Shaquille O’Neal stood up for SPEED when former professional basketball player turned right-wing religious commentator and attempted politician Royce White shared a viral video of the band performing at Sound And Fury festival in the US.
White commented on it stating, "And I’m the one with a Mental Illness? We are in a spiritual crisis. What in the false catharsis is this? Vegan coke heads getting right up on the edge of physical confrontation to deal with their unresolved despair and angst — Only faith in God can do that. Gloves Off!"
Instagram account viralclipz also shared the video, asking fans "Who's going to this concert lol." O’Neal commented on it saying "me". Could we potentially see Shaq deep in a SPEED mosh pit?
SPEED just sold out a majority of their first-ever US headline tour. To celebrate, the band will come home for a homecoming tour throughout this month and June.
The tour begins at Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on 25 May, with the band heading to Melbourne’s Prince Bandroom the following night, and holding just one all-ages gig at Stay Gold in Brunswick on 27 May.
From there, SPEED’s Australian headline tour stops at The Basement in Canberra, The Newcastle Hotel, Gold Coast’s Vinnie’s Dive Bar, Brisbane’s The Zoo, and ends at the Back On The Map festival. You can find tickets here.
