Rottofest Ships In US Comedian For Headline Slot

Comedy Central and HBO's Anthony Jeselnik will headline the Perth comedy, film and music festival Rottofest this year. 

Controversial and edgy, Jeselnik will lead a line-up that also includes Tim Ferguson (Doug Anthony Allstars), Chris 'The Bloke' Franklin, Mel Buttle (triple j), Dayne Rathbone, Nick Cody (VIC), Matt Dyktynski, (VIC) and a host of local comedians from WA.

Brisbane's Millions lead the music line-up with Tomas Ford, Stillwater Giants, Sonspilo Circus, Sam Perry, Anton Franc, Morgan Bain, Turin Robinson, Patient Little Sister, Cow Parade Cow, Flower Drums, Tim Gordon, Nyanda J, DJ Craig Hollywood, DJ Aarom Wilson, Metric DJs, Electonic DJs and Chase the sun DJs.

The short film screenings will be hosted by Tim Ferguson, with the competition winner to be awarded $3,000. Entries for the short films (up to 15 minutes) of filmed sketches (up to three minutes) are being accepted from Australian citizens until 20 July 2012.

The festival takes place at Rottnest Island from Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 September. Early bird weekend passes are available from $189 (until 20 July) from the website.
