The central Qld four-piece will release their second EP in June

More Pandamic More Pandamic

Rockhampton-bred rapscallions Pandamic are the newest additions to Dune Rats' burgeoning Ratbag Records, signing with the label ahead of their second EP, Archer, due out in June.

The new release picks up where debut EP Scumbag left off, informed by the swiftly growing profile the boys have enjoyed over the past couple of years, buoyed by airplay on triple j and previous support slots for the Dunies along with the likes of Guantanamo Baywatch, Columbus, The Pinheads and The Vanns, plus festival outings at Groovin The Moo and El Grande fest.

They've already knocked over a support run for The Rubens this year, going on to record Archer with engineer and mixer Troy Brady, formerly of The Amity Affliction.

Pandamic will precede the release with new single SAM, which you can check out at the bottom of this story.

The signing — which sees them join a roster that includes the label's founders as well as Skegss, Ratboy and Molly — isn't the beginning or end of their involvement with the Brisbane slacker-rockers either, with Pandamic slated to support the band (along with WA's Tired Lion) on their upcoming 'Fuck Yeah Ledge Yew!' tour, kicking off in Newcastle on Friday 9 June.

Archer will be released the week before, on Friday 2 June, with preorders available from this Friday, 5 May, the same day SAM will officially be made available for purchase.
