Rob Zombie & KoRn Announce Co-Headline Soundwave Sideshows

This is some evil shit.

More Rob Zombie More Rob Zombie

The 2014 Sidewaves – the name given to sideshows played by acts appearing at the Soundwave Festival – are dropping on us thick and fast today and one of the most evil line ups you could imagine being put together is going to rip through Melbourne and Sydney in a few months to scare the hell out of all of us.

Rob Zombie is something of a shock rock god, first coming to our attention as the frontman of the legendary White Zombie from the late 80s all the way through the 90s, before becoming a respected solo artist in his own right.

Of course it's not just the music with Zombie – he has written, produced and directed a number of revered horror films and his insane stage show is proof of how this guy's mind works – rest assured you'll be entertained when you go to see him perform.

While most would agree that KoЯn have probably already seen the pinnacle of their commercial popularity, their brand of metal still turns a lot of people on – be it for nostalgic purposes or not – and their new record The Paradigm Shift (their 11th!) shows they still have a lot to give to the world of heavy music.

Both of these acts will be hitting up the below venues on this co-headline run of shows while in the country for Soundwave. KoRn will headline in Sydney, Zombie will do so in Melbourne; both will be epic. Tickets are on sale from Thursday 23 January at 9am.

Big Top, Sydney - Monday 24 February
The Palace, Melbourne - Wednesday 26 February

The third Soundwave announcement will be here on theMusic.com.au at 8pm (AEDT) tonight
