Red Bull Music Academy Announce 2012 Winners

Kloke and Julien Love will be heading to New York later in the year.

Sixty-two people around the world have been notified that they will represent their country in the 2012 instalment of the Red Bull Music Academy, being held over two weeks in New York City this October. The two Australian artists who are a part of that group have been announced today.

The first artist, who will be a part of the Academy's first term from Sunday 30 September through to Saturday 13 October, is Andy Donnelly – aka Kloke – who, by day, works as a Warehouse Assistant in Melbourne and produces a mix of House, UK Garage and Electronic Soul and has had releases on the Granholme and Entrada labels.

The second artist, who takes the Friday 19 October – Friday 2 November slot, is Melbourne's Julien Love who works as a graphic designer and produces a brand of electronic funk that has been released on the M-Division label.

Both artists will spend their time in New York City getting amongst intensive semesters of workshops, concerts, club nights and studio time that are bound to boost their already considerable skills quite a great deal.
