More Rancid More Rancid

California punks Rancid have just announced their first album since 2017’s Trouble Maker, Tomorrow Never Comes, due for release on Friday, 2 June, via Epitaph Records.

Produced by Epitaph founder, Bad Religion’s Brett Gurewitz, the announcement of the band’s tenth album arrives with the energetic title track and first single, which you can check out below.

Highlighting their collective ear for melodic hooks and catchy, sing-a-long choruses, Tomorrow Never Comes is complete with the familiar wailing guitars and punk rock rhythms that have solidified Rancid as the legends they are.

The Music described Trouble Maker as “short, fast and loud”. The review added, “Listening to Trouble Maker, it feels like you're being greeted by old friends. While their style hasn't differed too much since their inception, it's impossible to be bored; the sound of this album is as diverse as Rancid's style has always been.”

A press release reveals that Rancid’s songs have been streamed 850 million times, and that number is about to increase, with a new record coming soon.

Tomorrow Never Comes’ tracklist is packed with 16 songs that barely hit the two-and-a-half-minute mark, boasting the same gritty, straightforward punk-with-a-purpose that fans know and love.

You can pre-order Tomorrow Never Comes here.

In 2016, Rancid vocalist Tim Armstrong appeared on the revived season of The X-Files, appearing on the show as a one-off character called The Trashman.
