Cub Scouts picked up two awards - including Song Of The Year - and Ben Salter won Album Of The Year at tonight's Queensland Music Awards.

Held at Brisbane's Old Museum, youngsters Cub Scouts won the major song category, as well as the Pop Award, for their track Do You Hear. Salter's album The Cat was judged to be the year's best while Kate Miller-Heidke, Pete Murray and The Grates won the fan-voted Most Popular Male, Female and Group awards.

There were also category wins for Harmony James, Rainman, Mosman Alder, Jeremy Neale and A Breach Of Silence amongst others.

Garage metal band DZ Deathrays won the Export Achievement and Ed Kuepper was honoured with the Grant McLennan Lifetime Achievement Award.

The night also saw performances by Ball Park Music and Velociraptor.
