2018 was a great year for Queensland musicians and it certainly shows in the calibre of nominees for this year's Queensland Music Awards.

Emily Wurramara leads the nominations, with a whopping four nods including noms in the Blues/Roots, Indigenous, Singer Songwriter award and World/Folk categories. Amy Shark, San Mei and Tia Gostelow have all scored two nominations each.

See the full list of nominees below.

Sweater Curse, Jaguar Jonze, Pool Shop and RIVAH have all been nominated for the Billy Thorpe Scholarship, which could see them pick up $10,000 in prize money.

This year's awards will be held at the Royal International Convention Centre at Brisbane Showgrounds on 19 March, and will be hosted by The Grates' Patience Hodgson and comedian Mel Buttle, and will have performances from Amy Shark, DZ Deathrays, Clea, Emma Beau, Tokyo Twilight and more.
