The Kindred's Mike Ieradi joins the band

More Protest The Hero More Protest The Hero

In June this year, Ontario's Protest The Hero said goodbye to long-term drummer Moe Carlson, filling the vacant position with Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler to record their soon-to-be released full-length Violation, however, now the band have enlisted a permanent replacement.

After receiving keen interest from friends and colleagues, Protest The Hero have announced Mike Ieradi as their new drummer, and will set out to tour North America with the outfit in the near future.

Ieradi is currently drumming for Ottawa prog metal act The Kindred, who will support Protest The Hero on their tour of North America, the drummer performing in both acts on the string of dates.

A long-time companion to Protest The Hero, the band says he was definitely the right decision.

"Finding a new drummer has proven to be a tough task!  We had interest and video submissions from many friends, fans, and family alike…Every single one of those submissions was wonderful, but we realised it was going to be impossible to select a drummer based on a YouTube video,” they said.

“We needed someone we knew.  Someone who we thought we wouldn't murder and leave at the side of the road two weeks into a tour.

“We think we have found that person in Mike Ieradi – a Canadian fella we met many moons ago."

Volition is released Friday 1 November, but for now, here's 2011's C'est La Vie.
