Are you itching to tear up a D-floor to some quality Scottish hip hop beats and glossy soundscapes? Well, then, polish up your dancing shoes, ‘cause Hudson Mohawke is bringing his booming beats to Australia for a run of shows in just a few weeks.

‘Hud Mo’, the moniker of Glaswegian Ross Birchard, has been going from strength to strength since the release of his 2012 breakthrough collaborative project with fellow producer Lunice on TNGHT.

Since then Mohawke has worked with Drake, Kanye West, John Legend, Travis $cott, Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Pusha-T, Blood Orange, Frank Ocean, and Bjork, just to name a few.

His 2015 sophomore album, Lantern, saw the Scottish producer extend his beat-making prowess by infusing rap with electronic textures, creating 14-tracks full of party vibes and booming beats.

Mohawke will be heading down under fresh from his production role in the soundtrack to action-adventure game Ded Sec — Watch Dogs 2, which sees him produce some serious glitchy sounds.

Hudson Mohawke will begin the Australian leg of his Australasian tour at Southbound Festival in Perth before heading to the east coast for a combo of festival appearances and club shows.
